Joe the Amazon Parrot #24

Today Sunday June 19, 2016 is another fun day with Joe the Amazon Parrot with his new flock Ann and Bob Busby. Joe has been with us now for twenty-two days of fun and excitement.

Ann is worn out from waking up at 4:00 AM this morning due to pain issues but feeling tired and still having pain issues does not keep her from having fun with Joe.

About 7:00 AM I made Ann coffee and Joe his cinnamon toast and that made both flock members happy and brought a smile to my face knowing how much Ann and I are enjoying Joe and how Joe is enjoying us.

It is 7:30 AM and Joe is talking with Ann and Me while he finishes up his breakfast and at the same time tells us about his night and morning – Joe has been telling jokes of sorts and seems to be a real avian comedian – smiles.

Joe is getting into 1950-1960-1970 music since we play AM 640 radio on our weather channel for the Villages, Florida in the back ground most of the day so Joe will have music to help with his singing – smiles.

Lately Joe has gotten into story telling or at least that is what it sounds like since Joe attempts various words all at once and this mish mosh of sounds seem like Joe is stringing his words together to tell his story.

Did I mention Joe is into wood carving? Noticed this morning Joe had started a new wood carving on the end of his wooden perch, the carving is starting to look like a mini statue of Joe. Joe is very creative and likes to carve wood objects while thinking about his next conversation, joke, are story telling even with us.

Our morning routine with Joe is history, we have had our talk with Joe, told jokes and stories, ate and drank while listening to the radio and Joe is ready for his early nap and has mentioned he needs his alone time for now.

More stories of Joe the Amazon Parrot to follow when my brain fog clears and Joe types up those stories for y’all to read.
