Joe the
Amazon Parrot #65
Today Wednesday July 20, 2016 was kind of a blur and am not
sure what all took place this morning other than the usual wake up, make
coffee, make toast, wake Joe the Amazon Parrot up, drink coffee while Joe eats
his toast and we both read the morning news after I clean the bottom of Joe’s
cage and replace his soiled cage paper, so he can read the bottom of his cage.
Ann was not feeling the need to get out of bed this morning so
she had her coffee and water and Joe had his water and snacks and they both
took a nap while I went out into the heat to accomplish some errands.
When I returned from the errands of the day Ann and Joe were
up and waiting to get Joe out on the lanai for his shower. Joe had a good shower, good parrot walk back
to his cage and then Joe had a snack, I fixed Ann a snack and then both Ann and
Joe took another nap.
Ann has not been feeling well since her Fibro has been flaring
up causing her lots of pain, brain fog and total loss of energy, good thing is
Ann has not fallen today but has felt weak but insisted she had to be at the
Fibro meeting since she is the group leader.
Mary who also has Fibro and other pain issues called to check
on Ann and let Ann know about the progress for the meeting today at Truman Recreation
Center, when Mary called I answered “You have reached the phone of Joe the
Amazon Parrot” and we had a good laugh, Joe said hello from the top of his
cage.
Mary decided to present at the Fibro meeting today and will
talk about how to find and use computer applications pertaining to Fibro. I
tried to get Ann to stay home since she was so tired but Ann soldiered on and
lead the meeting, Mary presented, and everyone was happy, Ann returned home
after the meeting and ate and went to bed.
Joe and I had a snack and collaborated on what to put in this
blog he insist on me typing for him as he dictates the day’s events from his
perspective by way of parrot telepathy.
More fun facts about Joe the Amazon Parrot to follow as the
days and weeks continue while Joe continues to amaze us as time passes with our
new therapy bird.
I will provide more fun and exciting moments with Joe the
Amazon Parrot to when Joe decides to provide his perspective on the day’s
events – smiles.
No parrot or human was harmed in the interaction of Parrot and
Humans on this day and evening.
