Joe the Amazon Parrot #45

This afternoon Saturday July 2, 2016 while sitting at the computer in the media room (living room area) I took a brake and got a small package of Ritz crackers to snack on, as soon as I sat down and started to snack on the Ritz crackers Joe the Amazon Parrot   came out of his cage, made his way to the top and peered down on me as if I was eating some fantastic snack he just had to have.

Joe is very good at the Amazon Parrot pathetic look when he wants food, he stoops down and flaps his wings and says “Cracker” “Want a cracker” and leans towards you. Joe has plenty of food in his dry and fresh dishes but he enjoys getting snacks from us when he can.

Once Ann and all the rest of our flock was up and moving we all ate while watching Spartan Racers that kept all three of us on the edge of our seats. There was a time we watched sports of the regular kind but now we watch reality island, gymnastic, wall climbing, obstacle course, running, and survival skills folks doing all they can do in just minutes.

One of the obstacle shows only wants all you got in order for you to win, and they take all you got, I am worn out just watching the shows.

We have had Joe the Amazon Parrot living with us for thirty four days and so far Joe like us and we love Joe, so we are hoping for a great Parrot and Human relationship – Pets are just fun to have and be with.

So far this Fourth of July weekend has been a fun, exciting, and relaxing time with Ann and Joe since we are all interacting together and enjoying this hot humid weather from inside our house with the air conditioning thundering full blast.

Ann has decided Joe is spending way too much time on top of his cage so we are going to start moving Joe to one of his play stands after his morning food and moving his cage out of sight so he will not want to glide or walk to his cage.

The thought process on this moving the cage is to get Joe use to just being with us and not wanting to be sitting on his cage looking down on us; we will see how this works out starting tomorrow. After all, Joe does have a portable cage and his play stands also roll, so Joe is able to move about the house.

Joe the Amazon Parrot is doing well while Ann and I are worn out, Joe is a hand full and even though he is a joy in our life it will take some time for our bodies to get use to all the changes Joe brought with him to our home.

As always no Humans or Parrots were injured in the making of all these magical Ann, Joe and Bob moments. oning thundering away.n and Joe since we are all interacting tog
